You know that feeling when the only place you want to be is home? You miss the softness of your bed, the comfort of knowing you’re just where you need to be, and the peace of mind of having your entire closet to choose from (the struggle is real). This may sound fluffy and outright ridiculous, but it’s the absolute truth and just what I’m craving right now. After returning home just in time for Passover from what could have been the most incredible trip yet through The Maldives, Dubai, and New York, there has been no better time for a detox and reset.
It’s only every so often that traveling really weighs me down. I’ve always tried to be the person that jet lag has zero effect on (see below photo), and usually it works. But then there are those other times when you’ve crossed too many time zones to count on one hand, your sleep schedule is off, your workout schedule is off, and your eating schedule is off that everything needs to come to a screeching halt. I have admittedly reached said point. Everything is off and the only place I want to be is… home.
What does a reset by TheWholeTara look like anyway? Think mind, body, and soul detox with fresh juices, bubble baths, and a love affair with the treadmill. For my juice reset I’ve chosen Naked Pressed Botanical Juices. Full disclosure, Naked Juices were never really on my radar until they sent me their new line of cold-pressed botanical blends. They cold-press the highest-quality fruits and vegetables with essential oils for an all-natural zing that awakens the senses. My juice of choice is the Botanical Citrus Lemongrass. It has orange, apple, cucumber, pineapple, spinach, lemon, passionfruit – and lemongrass oil. Each bottle of Citrus Lemongrass has vitamin K, potassium, and magnesium. 🙂
Outside of jazzed up juices and exotic oils, I’ve found plenty of solace in my simple bubble bath ritual and regular workout schedule. I’ve also been coming up with exciting plans like taking on a new intern and starting Instagram Live sessions as soon as the holidays are over, but first I’m taking this week to recharge and come back even stronger than before. Happy birthday to me and happy resting to you!
Don’t forget it. 🙂
