It’s not so quick that you fall in love with a new city. At first it’s like a shoe that you’ve got to break in, squeeze in a little here and squeeze in a little there. It takes a few strides in those new shoes until they fit like a glove, if ever. Luckily, Paris for me was one of those cities that took a little breaking in to feel just right. For a day of shopping in one of the most prestigious areas in town, Place Vendôme, I chose an understated, yet elegant look. This peplum top adds a feminine touch and the skirt is my go-to for a sleek effect. The small cross body bag gives this outfit the pop of color it needs, while still retaining its sophistication….
Paris is always a good idea – you know you’ve heard it more than once.
Spoiler: They were right.
Growing up my mother forbade me from visiting Paris until I could visit with my love. “Paris has to be experienced with the love of your life. It’s the only way.”, she’d tell me. Anywhere else in the world was my oyster, but not Paris. Definitely not Paris.
Well, if I made you guys wait any longer for these Raspberry Whipped Buckwheat Pancakes I would have a gang of hangry followers beating my door down. This has turned out to be the ultimate teaser recipe, accidentally on my part. This recipe was officially released as part of TheWholeTara app, which is currently on a break from the app store, and then went viral on Instagram with tons of recipe requests!…
And just like that, it’s 2017. I don’t feel, and haven’t ever felt, fond towards New Year’s resolutions. They last a whole 5 minutes, and tend to bring you right back to where you started.
Why not make improvement a year-round thing?…

When is the last time you woke up jumping out of bed, feeling so energized that you couldn’t wait to start the day? How about the last time you woke up for work without having to set an alarm or incessantly pressing the snooze button? We’ve all been there, all 1/3 of Americans reported that they haven’t woken up feeling energized in the last 6 months!* Fall Daylight Savings time hit this weekend and we gained an extra hour on the clock. To celebrate, my friends at Beautyrest Brand challenged me to use this time as a kickstart to ditch the snooze button—it is so easy to take one hour a day to commit to taking on a healthier lifestyle, even if that means just one little switch in your routine. It could be anything from improving the mattress you sleep on to making these Energizing Vanilla Chai Pancakes for breakfast. I’d go for both. ;)…
Part 1: My Dream Kitchen Appliances
When I think of my dream kitchen I think of an elegant french country kitchen with a grand island, elaborate white cabinetry, and a hanging garden situated near the window sill. I think of the warm chocolate chip cookies sitting on the counter and the cutting board laid out after chopping all of the fresh veggies now stored in the refrigerator. While the design and decor are essential, I often leave out the big things. I leave out the things that we needed the kitchen for in the first place, the appliances! I always knew in the back of my mind that I wanted a state-of-the-art kitchen graced with a double stove top oven (one for meat, one for dairy), a “smart” fridge, and a large warming tray. At first I thought I might be asking for too much, but then I got invited to New York City’s Rockefeller Center to marvel over LG’s new Signature line featuring the most advanced kitchen appliances out there, namely their InstaView Door-in-Door Double Refrigerator. I think it’s safe to say my aspirations aren’t so crazy after all….
Finding a healthy banana bread is a hit or a miss situation. You either get that ideal balance between moist and fluffy with the perfect banana undertone, or you end up with a crumby mess. While I’m a big fan of the usual buttery banana bread, I’m definitely not opposed to a quicker and cleaner option that can double as breakfast and dessert. This recipe is also parve for those who keep kosher. So if your hunt has led you to find a moist banana bread that’s gluten free, flour-free, dairy-free, and added sugar free, then you’ve come to the right place….
Fig season is my favorite season, and I know I’m not the only one. After seeing the positive response on one of my fig filled breakfast plates, I knew there’d be a special place in your heart for fig jam. Originally I set out to make a fig tart, then noticed that one of the ingredients called for a homemade fig jam. And the rest was history.
One of my favorite things ever, plain and simple? Peanut Butter. I like to enjoy peanut butter in all ways. Whether it’s straight out of the jar, over toast, smeared over banana bread, or my famous Homemade Peanut Butter Cups. While I used to only be hooked on peanut butter, a whole new world has opened up to me after discovering peanut butter spread in maple and cinnamon flavors. Get ready for some peanut butter madness….
My best friend and I stepped into one of the fashion capital’s of the world, Milan, not knowing very much about the hot spots, nightlife, or what there was to explore. Aside from the fashion world, there wasn’t much else that I’d recognized Milan for in the past. Being in Italy we had a hunch that pizza and pasta were right at the top of the list, so after doing some hunting and taste-testing I put together a list of our top eats in Milan….
