It’s summer, it’s hot out, and the chances that you’ll want a drink by the pool are running very high. The questions about a cleaner drink recipe have been flooding my inbox, so I figured it’s time to let the gates down and share my favorite Watermelon Vodka Slushy. All it takes is a blender or food processor, some fresh watermelon, and a touch of vodka to get this one just right.
Although I myself am not much of a drinker, I do enjoy a natural fruity drink from time to time! I used Hangar 1 Straight Vodka, a straight blend of midwestern grains and wine grapes. The flavor is described as perfectly balanced between floral, honeysuckle, and asian pear. I love how light it is, making it work perfectly amidst the sweet and juicy flavors of watermelon and honey.
