With the nature of what I do, I stay in a lot of different places. Often I’ll stay at 2-3 hotels in the same area, so it becomes very hard to choose favorites when each one is better than the next. I particularly liked The Layar for its extremely spacious bedrooms (we stayed in the 3 bedroom) and lofted living space. The villa is even equipped with a full kitchen, huge pool area, and on-call golf cart to take you to the main road in Seminyak for shopping and eating. And the bathrooms? Out of this world. All 3 bedrooms had big beautiful bathtubs and showers that made taking a bath at any time of day very, very inviting.
When we first pulled up, I already felt at home with the kind staff and delicious passion fruit welcome drinks. The villa was beyond spacious and is designed beautifully from the modern kitchen to the outdoor-style showers. There was absolutely nothing lacking in design here. When it comes to food, if the big fruit basket waiting on the kitchen counter wasn’t enough, there’s also a vast room service menu to order from. I found a ton of healthy options and tried a few different things. My favorite part was breakfast (pictured above). The variety was incredible and the muesli, OMG! The villa complex also features a rustic Italian restaurant, Settimo Cielo, with great service and amazing food (pictured below).
Our stay was short, but oh so lovely. Would I come back? The answer is yes. If you’re traveling to Seminyak, this is a no-brainer.
