BLISS. For those of you who said you didn’t like Bangkok, clearly you didn’t stay at the Tower Club at Lebua. From the moment I walked through the double doors I felt a wave of the luxurious city life I so desperately missed. We were escorted to the Tower Suites lobby and then to our 2 bedroom Tower Club Luxury suite on the 59th floor. Yup, 59th floor. There was so much to do and see here; you won’t ever have to leave.
Being a guest of the Tower, which I highly recommend, you can visit the Tower Club on a complimentary basis for breakfast, light lunch, and afternoon snacks with cocktails. Its also got a delightful view of pretty much the entire city of Bangkok. Not a shabby perk.
Modern luxury is how I’d classify the Tower Club at Lebua hotel. Hangover 2 was filmed here, so if it looks familiar you know why now! It alos has one of my favorite spots in the city called Skybar, which is an amazing sky bar (obviously) bustling with Europeans and other international travelers enjoying a drink on what feels like the top of the world.
OH and the food! Dinner at Sirocco, the Italian restaurant on the property, was delectable. A full vegetarian menu just launched by Chef Gabriele Castellanza, the new Sirocco Chef de Cuisine, so it was perfect timing to come visit. I don’t have another word to describe the 7 course vegetarian tasting menu. We wined and dined with organic wine and dishes like gnocchi, ravioli, and basil sorbet. I’d go back just for another meal on this candlelit rooftop terrace.
