I didn’t really know what to expect from The Tubkaak Resort in Krabi. After quite the car ride to get there, we arrived at the secluded nature-friendly resort. The entire property is built around the nature, so you’ll find trees and rocks everywhere. Everything went beyond my expectations including the food, the rooms, the beach, the sunsets, the yoga, the gym, and the spa. We only stayed 3 nights, but oh how I wish it would’ve been a whole week filled with sunset watching on the hotel’s private beach and candlelit dinners overlooking the shore.
I don’t usually rave about hotels and food this much, but I really loved this hotel’s cozy feel and, not to mention, their Massaman Curry (a must try!). The hotel is on a very quiet beach with two restaurants, both overlooking the sunset that’ll leave you speechless. The restaurants, Italian and Thai, are equally delicious. I stayed in a Pool Villa and I can report that it was beautifully designed and having my own pool and outdoor bathtub was so lovely.
In addition to all of the lounging around, I also had a 90-minute signature massage at their spa. The spa treatment was in a large dome shaped room with a big skylight at the top. It was unlike anything I’d ever seen, and something about that made it very relaxing. It may be that the whole property is optimized for Feng Shui, or regulating the flow of energy for positive energy. The effect definitely did a number on me and I can guarantee I’ll be back.
