My best friend and I stepped into one of the fashion capital’s of the world, Milan, not knowing very much about the hot spots, nightlife, or what there was to explore. Aside from the fashion world, there wasn’t much else that I’d recognized Milan for in the past. Being in Italy we had a hunch that pizza and pasta were right at the top of the list, so after doing some hunting and taste-testing I put together a list of our top eats in Milan.
Oh my. If you’re looking for true and very authentic Italian fare in a high end atmosphere, then Bice is your best bet. This is the place you’ll enjoy a glass of wine, a plate of homemade tagliatelle, and a classic tiramisu.
- Obica Mozzarella Bar
I know nothing about this place, except that we stumbled upon it on a busy street and had hands down the best pizza of our lives. We ordered a three cheese pizza and it came warm, crunchy, and so creamy. I highly recommend this for a casual lunch around Milan.
- Armani Caffe
This is a very easy stop if you’re shopping around central Milan. It’s smack in the middle of everything right by the Emporio Armani store and hotel. The food here is basic, delicious, and consistent. Order a caprese salad, pizza, or pasta dish here and dine among the chicest of Milan residents and visitors.
- Il Salumao de Montenapoleone
I loved all of the magic about this outdoor garden restaurant. The service, ambiance, and food were all equally great. I ordered a niçoise salad and my friend ordered a tuna tartare and pesto pasta. All of the dishes were great. Highly recommend for a nicer lunch.
Each meal was better than the next it was almost difficult to stop eating. My best friend and I split every meal using the Square Cash app, which made everything much easier. Square Cash transfers funds for free and instantly. You don’t know how difficult it can get to start explaining how to split the bill, especially when English isn’t the waiter’s strong suit. Overall, these are at the top of my list for food in Milan. Did I miss anything?
