After visiting Italy and passing through my fair share of fresh fruit and vegetable markets, herb gardens, and mouthwatering meal experiences, I have felt really inspired to be back in the kitchen. It’s been a long time since I last got to cooking a meal that I felt connected to and proud of sourcing the ingredients on my own and planning it out from start to finish. After spending a few weeks in New York post my European adventures, I thought what better time to visit the farmer’s market and make a really fresh meal out of the visit. …
One of my favorite things ever, plain and simple? Peanut Butter. I like to enjoy peanut butter in all ways. Whether it’s straight out of the jar, over toast, smeared over banana bread, or my famous Homemade Peanut Butter Cups. While I used to only be hooked on peanut butter, a whole new world has opened up to me after discovering peanut butter spread in maple and cinnamon flavors. Get ready for some peanut butter madness….
Getting back on track after an extremely enjoyable and, not to mention, indulgent vacation isn’t the easiest of feats. You know what it’s like when you travel to a new place, eat a variety of foods, and most often don’t workout as much as you’d like to. It can feel like you fell off the tracks and after it’s even harder to get back than the last time around. I know I can relate, no matter how often I find myself traveling. While in Italy I ate pizza or pasta for every meal and while in France a meal wasn’t a complete without a baguette, croissant, or pain au chocolat. At home my diet looks a bit different. While I definitely include these foods into my diet, they’re not the mainstay like when it comes to travels. I’m also a bunch more active, so I feel less bloated and lethargic.
My best friend and I stepped into one of the fashion capital’s of the world, Milan, not knowing very much about the hot spots, nightlife, or what there was to explore. Aside from the fashion world, there wasn’t much else that I’d recognized Milan for in the past. Being in Italy we had a hunch that pizza and pasta were right at the top of the list, so after doing some hunting and taste-testing I put together a list of our top eats in Milan….
I write this as I pack my bags to take off on a crazy adventure beginning in Milan, Italy. I’ve exhausted myself prepping and planning for this trip, and now it’s finally here. I’m beginning in Milan, then traveling to Lake Como, Cannes, Paris, and London. Given my collection of bathing suits and cover ups, I’m definitely ready for the hot summer sun.
Switching up my coffee routine will be a must, so in addition to all the SPF I’m packing I’ve also brought along Bustelo Cool Coffee Drinks. I’ve said it before on my blog that I’m not so big of a coffee drinker, but lately I’ve found it to be such a nice part of my routine and a great way to cool off. One of the main reasons I’d steer so clear from coffee before was because of how out of my way I’d have to go to get a cup and because Miami is just so hot to begin with.
Although it’s going to be a busy and, not to mention, a very hot trip, the Bustelo Cool Coffee Cafe Con Leche drink is 1) refreshingly iced, 2) quick to prep, and 3) easy on-the-go. I set a stash of the cute little packets in my purse, luggage, and carry on just in case because you never know when you’ll need an energy boost especially with the jet lag! The coffees can be purchased at Walmart in the coffee aisle and they’re very reasonably priced too with this coupon save $1.50 on a 4 pack of 8 oz. cans.
Now excuse me while I finish packing up and get ready for the adventure ahead of me.

Touchdown in NYC and believe it or not, my first stop was The Sisley Spa followed by a visit at the Yves Durif Salon. I should preface that for the 3 weeks prior to arriving to New York I was looking forward to this visit. I’ve done several spa/hotel reviews on my blog, but this one was particularly exciting to me because I’ve been a fan of Sisley products for a while now and I really trust the quality of their products. Not to mention The Carlyle hotel, where the spa and salon are located, is right in my old neighborhood so the whole experience hits home for me.
Just a year ago I sat in my tiny, but very charming New York City apartment wishing that I would just leave my comfort zone and travel. I wanted to get out of Manhattan as quick as I could to run away and explore the world face to face. A year later I’ve traveled to over 6 countries I hadn’t been before and found myself in beautifully remote locations I never thought possible. Upon returning, I then left my big life in New York to move to Miami where I sought a more relaxed lifestyle free from the everyday hustle and bustle of New York. Today I sit in a luxurious apartment having breakfast overlooking the ocean so thankful for every thought, feeling, and action that brought me to this very moment. Regardless of where on the map you are, it’s all of the moments of happiness, sadness, anxiety, calm, and adventure that lead you to the present, the place you’re meant to be. Not forever, but for now….

It’s definitely safe to say that my life as a blogger has me on the go at almost all times of the day, and while I love to prep delicious and nutritious meals most times my schedule just doesn’t allow it! I’m sure many can relate to those nonstop, rushing-all-over-the-place days. For lunch times like these I prefer to have a fast, go-to lunch option that I can bring to work with me or grab while I’m out running errands, which is where elevĀte organic salads from Walmart come in.…

First thing’s first, holistic?!? I definitely don’t mean eating kale religiously or signing yourself up for a meditation retreat in Indonesia. Instead, I’m thinking a bit more on the realistic and balanced side of things. Below are things that you could incorporate into your lifestyle to enhance the way you feel on a day to day basis. If you don’t know me already, I don’t do extremes and I’m all about normalcy. I believe in eating your cake and still drinking your greens. 😜…
